The Stick ‘Em Control App utilizes Bluetooth technology to connect with compatible devices. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal data such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
However, we do collect certain data automatically to improve our products and services:
Analytics & Session Recording We use Microsoft Clarity and Contentsquare to collect anonymous usage data including heatmaps, session recordings, and interaction patterns (e.g. clicks, scrolls). These services may collect your IP address and device or browser information, but this data is anonymized and aggregated. It is not linked to any personally identifiable profile.
IP Address Your IP address may be automatically logged by our hosting and analytics services. We use this data for geographic analytics, security monitoring, and service reliability. IP addresses are not linked to any personally identifiable profile.
Hardware Telemetry When your device communicates with a Stick ‘Em Board, standard PCB telemetry data (such as firmware version, board identifier, connection status, and error codes) may be transmitted. This data is used solely for diagnostics and product improvement. It does not contain personal information.
Bluetooth Permissions
In order to establish a connection with compatible devices, the Stick ‘Em Control App requires Bluetooth permissions on your computing device.
The app uses Bluetooth solely for the purpose of facilitating communication and interaction with the supported Stick ‘Em Board.
Data Security
We take appropriate measures to protect the security of data exchanged through the Stick ‘Em Control App. All analytics data collected is anonymized or aggregated. While no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, we implement reasonable safeguards to minimize risk.
Third-Party
We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
Microsoft Clarity – anonymous session analytics and heatmaps (privacy policy)
Contentsquare – content engagement tracking (privacy policy)
Vercel – web hosting and edge analytics
These services operate under their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share personally identifiable information with any third party for marketing purposes.
Children’s Privacy
The Stick ‘Em Control App is suitable for use by individuals of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The analytics data we collect (as described above) is anonymous and not linked to individual users of any age.
Indemnity Clause
By using the Stick ‘Em Control App, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Stick ‘Em, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers and any third party information providers from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of this agreement (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the service.
Updates to the Privacy Policy
By using the Stick ‘Em Control App, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the app. Your continued use of the app following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
