User licence agreement
What you can do with Stick ’Em lessons, apps and downloads, in plain English.
Effective 27 September 2026
This agreement is between you and Stick ’Em Private Limited (UEN 202216916C), a company registered in Singapore. It covers the Stick ’Em Academy and its lessons, the Stick ’Em Control App in the browser and on iPad, and the materials you can download from stickem.sg.
By using any of them, you agree to these terms. If you are using them for a school, you are agreeing on the school’s behalf, so please make sure you are allowed to.
What this agreement does not cover
Buying kits. Hardware orders are covered by the quote and invoice we send your school.
Partners and distributors. If you have a signed partner agreement with us, that agreement comes first wherever the two differ.
The licence we give you
We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Stick ’Em lessons, the Control App and our downloads for teaching and learning. For a school, that means the teachers and students of that school. For an individual subscription, it means you.
The licence lasts as long as your access does. Free lessons and Guest Mode can be used without an account. A paid subscription comes with an access code and an expiry date, and the licence for the paid lessons ends when the code expires unless you renew.
What you can do
Teach with the lessons in your own classes, including printing worksheets and slides for your students.
Adapt a lesson for your own students, for example translating it or changing it to fit your timetable.
Share photos and videos of what your students build, as long as you have the permissions your school requires.
What you cannot do
Sell, rent or sublicense our lessons, apps or downloads, or include them in a paid product or course.
Publish our lessons online for anyone to download, or share your access code outside your school.
Remove the Stick ’Em name or logo from our materials, or present them as your own.
Copy, reverse engineer or modify the Control App, or use our materials to build a competing product.
Manufacture or sell copies of Stick ’Em connectors, kits or boards.
Who owns what
Stick ’Em owns the lessons, the apps, the connector designs, and the Stick ’Em name and logo. This agreement gives you permission to use them. It does not transfer ownership.
What your students make belongs to them and your school.
Safety
Stick ’Em kits contain small parts and chopsticks, so lessons should be run with a teacher or another adult supervising.
Changes and availability
We improve the Academy and the Control App all the time, so lessons and features may change. We will not remove something a school has paid for during its subscription without telling you and offering a fair alternative.
We may update this agreement. When the substance changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
Liability
We work hard to keep our lessons accurate and our apps running, but they are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, Stick ’Em is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability under this agreement is limited to what you paid us for the licence in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under Singapore law.
Ending the licence
If this agreement is broken, we may suspend or end access after telling you why. You can stop using our materials at any time.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute.
